BOATING TO THE BAHAMAS

Boating to The Bahamas has always been a popular topic for boaters, especially in Florida. While many have done it for years with ease, there are some that have yet to make that journey. This seminar is dedicated to both seasoned visitors to the Bahamas and those who haven't been yet but are ready to go. The seminar will be led by the Bahamas Ministry of Tourism Investments and Aviation's head of boating, Jonathan Lord and Bahamas Boating Ambassador Grant Johnson. The seminar will cover topics from entry requirements to crossing the gulf. The seminar will also provide giveaway items.

Seminar Takeaways:

  • Brief discussion on the Bahamas ( showcase the different islands, the distance between, etc.)
  • Crossing the Gulf from Florida to the Bahamas
  • Entry requirements (permits, customs, immigration, ports of entry, most recent health protocols)

About Grant Johnson

Growing up on the west coast of the US living in Seattle, Southern California, and Las Vegas 40+ years.  I was always around boats and found myself drawn to the enjoyment of boating.  With three children, we used boat to Catalina Island for weekends to get away from the SoCal hustle and bustle.  My children grew up around boating as my wife Mariana and I found it to be a great activity for the kids to meet people and enjoy the lifestyle and experiences that boating brings.  Moved to South Florida (Ft Lauderdale) 9 years ago making the cross-country trip with our 50-foot yacht in tow looking forward to the great boating that Florida and the Bahamas have to offer.

First trip to Bahamas was mid blowing seeing the warm blue water and meeting the friendly people, we fell in love with the destination.  Now we make as many trips as possible over to the Bahamas and enjoyed or first Bahamas Fling this summer 2021. As I travel all over the east coast weekly for work I so look forward to

returning home to Ft Lauderdale and our monthly trips to Bahamas.

This special event is free with your admission to PBIBS.
